The Stretch of Death, is the name I have given to the stretch of Archer Avenue that runs from Fairmont Hills Cemetery, west to St. James Cemetery. I will tell about the burning paranormal tour bus that came close to taking my life and others on The Stretch of Death and other reasons why I have named it such. This past Sunday I was able to wander the location for the Paranormal Night Lock Down Friday Sept 30th 11:30 pm to Saturday Oct. 1st - ??am at the famous Illinois Dungeon of Doom Halloween attraction that is a truly 'Haunted' Halloween Haunted House, in the Historic Warwick Building in Zion, IL.
There are locations in this location that being a Spirit Feeler, what I picked up just ran through my body. The location is huge and two levels. I picked up on the energy on both and in many of the areas on both floors. I have a very strong feeling that the 'Ghost Box' (will have two), as in the recent past, will be very active also.

Being a Chicago Paranormal Host, Spirit Feeler and providing my 'Circle of Energy Seance' over the years at many different locations, be they private or historic locations, there is no debating with me that there is paranormal activity with the Spirits that have decided to remain and are still active at the haunted Willow Creek Farm in IL.

The video was filmed by Prairie State Paranormal as they assist me and those who attend my Chicago Paranormal Nights. The video shows portions of my seance at the Willow Creek Farm with the Class "A" EVP that was captured, and below is the recent letter I received from the owner after he viewed the video.

Sometimes there are things that happen at Willow Creek Farm which affect me profoundly. I listened to Ed Shanahan’s Blog talk radio with Kathi Kresol this evening and then followed a hyperlink on the site to Ed’s Chicago Paranormal Nights. There I found a YouTube link to a partial video of Ed’s second séance conducted at the farm. The videography was done by Prairie State Paranormal.

What I heard nearly brought me to tears. This is most definitely a Class “A” EVP and for me it is further proof of the child who I've emotionally adopted and call “my little girl Lily”. The capture is looped and repeated by the videographer a couple of times so you can here it more than once.

My seances are different then the typical seance, as my goal is to raise the spirits to interact with those present thus allowing them to become the Mediums, as any individual can sit at the end of a table and say this or that spirit is here, this or that Spirit is saying this or that etc.. etc..and call their self a Medium, all very simple to say by the person sitting at the end of the table.

My goal is to have individuals experience the Spirits of the locations and have those spirits interact with those present and also allow the Investigation Teams present to also capture with their equipment, the possible paranormal activities at the locations as was done here with the video and photo. Plus every one of my seances are video recorded for a few reasons, but the main one being that one never knows what will happen or be captured during the seances, as was with this paranormal night at the haunted Willow Creek Farm.

The video you will view (follow link below), was shot in the spring of 2008 (as you will hear questions pertaining to Hillary and Obama and the answers from the ghost box and who would even win), of a paranormal date we had at a haunted mansion in Joliet, IL. The video was taped by LAPS and posted in 2009.

On this video at 5:42 into the video, you will see and hear individuals using a Ghost Box and the responses received in 2008. The ghost box being used in the video is the one owned by Ms. Ursula Beilski. The Ghost Box session started with me and then others joined in asking questions. A Ghost Box can be an interesting tool that individuals can use and many receive results from using.

Saturday February 13th 2010 was the date Edward Shanahan a Psychic Spirit Feeler, set for a limited amount of individuals to explore and experience a paranormal night that included a Seance to finish this paranormal night at the documented to be haunted ' The Stag's Head ' in Willow Springs, IL.

Below you will find the letter recently received by one who explored and experienced on this paranormal night.

This building that is known as being one that was once owned by Al Capone and today stands as an Irish Pub. The night started with all sitting down for an Irish meal that during that time included mini palm readings for everyone by Shanahan. A discussion of local area paranormal hauntings with Chicago paranormal author Ms. Ursula Bielski, who joined Edward Shanahan on this night.

Once the meal was finished, Shanahan started the tour of the building for the individuals, from the basement that holds many secrets to the attic and describing what he felt in the past and present on the different levels. His experiences have been documented in two paranormal books that the authors included Shanahan's paranormal experiences of the past at the location and history of the building in their books. The investigation team Prairie State Paranormal, provided the knowledge of tools and investigating for those exploring the different levels and rooms of the building.

Then came the part of the paranormal night that Shanahan enjoys, providing a seance for those attending, so they can experience the Spirit World. Edward Shanahan does not do the typical medium seance, his goal is to go deep to have the Spirits interact with those attending, for the individuals to feel, sense and experience the Spirits. A Medium can say anything, but the true experience Shanahan believes is for those attending any of his Paranormal Nights, to let the individuals expereince the Spirits and the letter below is from one of many who did so on this paranormal night.

"Hello Edward, I was the girl sitting to your left at the seance. First of all, I had an incredible evening. I mentioned to you after the seance that I organize tours in my town of Rockford, Illinois. I have also traveled the country visiting haunted sites from St. Augustine to the Whaley house in San Diego.

I also need to mention that I have had "feelings" at some of these sites, you know where the hairs stand up on the back of your neck? But really haven't had any experiences to write about.

I can say with all honestly, I got a little more than that. I am not sure if that night was just an ordinary night for you. Do you usually get such a strong response?

I want to repeat again that I have never experienced anything like this in my 10 years of traveling to haunted places, working with psychics, and researching people's stories.

I am awed by this experience and even though I work with a couple of psychics who I feel are legitimate, I was very impressed by your ability. I also hope that I might be able to communicate with you to help me understand what happened to me.

I could feel the power of that group and maybe it was.just a fluke thing and it will never happen again. Or maybe you helped me tap into something that didn't even knew existed with in me.

The World can now view a tour of the haunted historic Bachelor's Grove Cemetery. My name is Edward Shanahan and this is an un-cut video that I shot back in 2003 and is a tour of the documented haunted cemetery. The article below about the haunted Bachelors Grove Cemetery is one I just created in August 2009.

Bachelor's Grove Cemetery has become a Paranormal Tour Stop or a Paranormal Attraction right outside of Chicago for those with an interest in Ghosts, legends, the paranormal or just a day out for some spooky fun at a spooky place to wander around. As you will see on the video here, there is much more to wander around, then just the cemetery section.

The cemetery is under the supervision and responsibility of the Cemetery Trustees of the Cook County Board. Through intergovernmental agreements, maintenance of the cemetery is now shared with the Cook County Forest Preserve District. The history of Bachelor's Grove Cemetery (including the above), can be found at http://bachelorsgrove.com/History/index.htm and was written by Brad L. Bettenhausen, President of the Tinley Park Historical Society.

I have always said "If you are a Tax Payer in Cook County, the location is as much yours to visit and tour as it is for anyone else". In all reality, I believe the Cook County Forest Preserve District should turn it into a 'registered' tourist location and even go as far as charging an admission for night tours (as that would be it's biggest draw), and help pay for the up keep of the location, security etc.

But it has to be run by one in the world of business or one who knows how to run a business dealing with the paranormal and general public, not a paranormal investigator or paranormal team, as the wrong person or team could end up feeling he / they own Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, just because they oversee it's operation, and that would not be true as stated in the paragraph above.

Also written by Brad L. Bettenhausen, President of the Tinley Park Historical Society: Periodically, families with ancestors buried at Bachelor Grove had the bodies moved to other cemeteries, that were more prestigious, closer to where they lived, or where there was more room for future family members. The cemetery's isolated location and vandalism of more recent years also compelled some families to move relatives to other cemeteries.

That has always made me wonder, how many are actually still buried there, if any? As part of the vandalism had to also do with grave robbers. For that reason I'm a firm believer in leaving Mother Nature take back what was once hers, and as you look at the video and see the trees that have broken down the fence, the trees seem to just topple over with their roots even still showing and collapse the fence around the cemetery, I think Mother Nature is winning. It also seems that some people, as one person called it, have done a "Rape and Pillage' of the nature at Bachelor's Grove Cemetery.

I've been told that there seems to have been pesticides used on flowers and plant life in the area, some of the trees have been spray painted (I've seen that), tree limbs cut (I've seen photos from a so called 'clean-up' a couple years back and a guy was holding a gas run tree trimmer in his hands), signs of areas cut down to make pathways for easier navigation and more. This kind of activity should be stopped, as it abuses nature and the grounds, that is one of the reasons I feel it would be good for the location to become a 'registered historic tourist attraction' run by the Cook County Forest Preserve as mentioned earlier in this article.

I have been involved in a Historical Society that took a group there, and at other times I have had individuals meet me and we track out to the location and beyond, usually once a year I do this, and this year it was with the people from the Bachelor's Grove Cemetery forum at the Bachelors Grove.com web site at: http://bachelors-grove.com/

A great group of individuals there and most likely the largest group forum about Bachelor's Grove with over 700 members. So there usually is no problem in finding others with an interest in venturing out to Bachelors Grove on any given weekend, all you have to do is post and ask.

They are not an Investigation Team, no-member dues etc.. just a nice group of individuals interested in the Paranormal and Supernatural besides just Bachelor's Grove Cemetery. The web site is owned by an individual who I gave the name of 'Mr. Bachelor's Grove Cemetery', for the fact of the number of individuals that visit his web site and are members of his forum. The owner is Mr. John Stephenson.

We even had Mr. Bachelor's Grove, John Stephenson as a guest on my Internet radio show 'The Unexplained World' and he talked with Annette and I about the location, his findings and more. I for one ventured back into Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, way back in 1976 for the first time, back then there was no Paranormal Investigation Teams etc.. Bachelor's Grove to me, was what is was to many, just good teenage spooky fun. I could claim that my Paranormal interests and study goes back that far, but I would be lying to you and my self. As the only resource about Haunted Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, goes back to the Chicago Paranormal Legend, Mr. Richard Crowe and like many, we would hear about the legend of Bachelors Grove when he would appear on the radio.

A lot has changed since that time back in 1976, I will be written about in two more books about the Paranormal this year, and one will include what I have to say and photos on Bachelor's Grove Cemetery, as the author came to me about a year ago. That makes a total of four paranormal books that authors about the paranormal have included me in, and I'm not even a Paranormal Investigator, but have lived my whole life in the Chicago land areas most haunted and active areas. But I have been given the title of 'Paranormal Spirit Observer' and I also do Conscious Channeling / Medium work and Psychic Readings. Also I work with Historical Societies that have haunted locations, like Mansions, a Senator's house etc..

Ghost Hunters - TV show called by Science ...

For Paranormal Investigators and those who watch the show,

I would suggest all to try and find or buy the July / August magazine of Discovery.

For those who do not know, this is a magazine of Science, Technology and the Future. It is a magazine based on science and the science world.

Well I being one that receives the magazine in the mail, get the upcoming month issue before it hits the magazine racks.

In the magazine for the July / August issue, that I received Wed, there is an article about the TV show "Ghost Hunters".

I found it very interesting that they would receive a writeup in a Science magazine and also found it interesting - what was written about the show in the science magazine ...

Let me remind everyone, I'm not an Investigator, one of the reasons I don't get involved in the put downs or praise when it comes to the TV shows like "Ghost Hunters".

But I know a lot of the Paranormal Investigation Teams like to consider their self a type of sceince study of the Paranormal or Spirit World, so I figured I would give a heads up that the article will be appearing in the magazine.

More then likely you can find it right now at your library, as they also receive the magazines before the hit the magazine rack.

The magazine article about the 'Ghost Hunters' TV show says:
The Best Science Show on Television: "Ghost Hunters".

You will have to read the article on why it is claimed to be. I know there are many who's jaw just dropped, those who are verbally throwing the 'WTF' out, and those who have made it a mission to do everything in their power to discredit the TV show and those in it.

I'm not an Investigator, nor have I hardly seen the show, if I've seen 15 minutes of it, that would be a lot. But my wife who works in the medical field, enjoys the show and does not miss it.

But many people want science involved or to start looking at the Paranormal. In April of 2008 - I had on our The Unexplained World - Internet radio broadcast that brought some heat by a few in the Paranormal Investigation field, before our guest was even on the show or anyone heard what he had to say.

Our guest was:
Dr. Klaus Heinemann, a former research professor at Stanford University and researcher in materials science for NASA, the American space agency is our guest this night and says - "There is no doubt in my mind that the Orbs may well be one of the most significant outside of this reality phenomena mankind at large has ever witnessed". Scientists and the science world are feeling and looking at it as a possiblity about Orbs being more then what has been said by the paranormal field Investigators.

He talks about the evidence and research going in to the study of ORBs.

I made some predictions back on Jan 8 2009 on the Diva's blog:

A) The Divas will become more Celebs in 2009 or one will be slowly pulling away do to boredom and other things of interest to do in her life. * So far - on the right track.

B) A Paranormal Celeb will die in 2009, possibly two - one for sure by natural causes - the other (if so), do to an accident. * The first one has happened and still have till the end of year for the second.

F) The Paranormal Field (Investigators, researchers etc..) as a whole in 2009, will realize that the general public interest is not in what non-science science comes up with. That the general public as a majority, looks at the paranormal field and participating in it, as a different avenue for personal entertainment. The general public will take belief in what is discovered and claimed to be discovered by the actual science community only. * The guest on our show (about Orbs) received a good response do to the fact he is in the Science Field, now Ghost Hunters is being praised in a Science Magazine.

G) At the end of 2009 - there still will be no Paranormal tools that can be claimed as actual proof of proving the paranormal.

Your an Investigation Team or involved in the Paranormal field? You have a video of something unexplained? You have a unique location on video? A paranormal, UFO or haunting experience captured on video and no other place to get attention?

Well since Paranormal TV 24/7 from The Unexplained World was created about two months ago, our goal has always been to bring to the public a unique line-up of shows. It does not matter if it is from a well known group of Investigators or Investigation type of TV shows, or just inviduals out on a night of seeking an experience, if it is liked by Edward Shanahan the creator of the broadcast, it will get showcased. Even if it does not live up to what Shanahan may believe in, he will play it, for the fact just because he has not experienced it, or may doubt it, does not mean it did not happen.

Some of the stuff may be a bit disturbing, like the video segments coming in May that are from the 1932 movie that was banned in the USA and some other countries when it was released, it was simply called 'Freaks'. The reason seen fit to broadcast this, is for the fact that it was reality of the people who starred in the movie as real people, no special effects.
